VISTA Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

Summary of the Position:

Coordinate all social media and marketing of the YWCA and work with YWCA staff and Board of Directors to improve and enhance awareness of the YWCA and its programs, strengthen brand awareness and mission focus. This will strengthen the engagement with the community and the support of the YWCA and the ability of it to fulfill its mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

 
Specific Job Duties:
  1. Create flyers, brochures and cards and other marketing materials regarding YWCA programs and services available. Help distribute these to others agencies and service providers in the community to raise awareness and increase referrals.

  2. Create and manage social media posts regarding YWCA programs to inform the public and clients about the programs and how to access them and make referrals.

  3. Maintain YWCA website with current information about program services and upcoming events.

  4. Assist with photography and social media for Fab Finds, YWCA’s resale shop.

  5. Set up webinars and online forums about topics relating to YWCA services, such as trauma, PTSD, elder abuse, racial justice and teen empowerment.

  6. Assist the YWCA Executive Director and staff with all promotional needs and marketing materials for their programs and the YWCA.

  7. Work with the YWCA Public Relations Committee to help implement their plans for publicizing the YWCA and special events.

  8. Develop a communications database for marketing, social media and all YWCA publicity.

 

Qualifications needed:

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Technology and social media skills 

Experience in communications, public relations and marketing with non-profits helpful

Flexible schedule
