Description: RBG chronicles the career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which spans several decades, and how she developed a legal legacy while becoming a pop culture icon. The film is a biographical depiction of Ginsburg from her birth in Brooklyn, New York, her college education and subsequent career as a law professor, her appointment to the federal judiciary by President Jimmy Carter, and eventual appointment to the Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton.

Understanding ACES 
(Adverse Childhood Experiences)

Speaker: Caddo Parish Juvenile Services Director Clay Walker.
Description: Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) is the term given to describe all types of abuse, neglect, and other traumatic childhood experiences that can have lasting, measurable consequences later in life. From the results of the ACE study, we have learned that traumatic events and experiences that occur early in life have an impact on the health and social-emotional well-being throughout the lifespan. In this FREE seminar, facilitated by Caddo Parish Juvenile Services Director Clay Walker, you will learn more about ACE, and how screening and intervention can save children and their communities a lifetime of costly issues.

Yoga for Teens

Young women ages 13-18! Come try yoga for the first time, or enhance your practice by learning techniques to use yoga, pranayama (the practice of controlling the breath), and aromatherapy to cope with stress or trauma.


Class taught by Hollie Lloyd, the owner of Private Yoga Shreveport, Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 certified at Living Yoga program in Austin, Texas.

Social Media Safety for Teens
Time: 10 am
Location: YWCA
Description: An online and social media dangers workshop that will educate teen girls how to use the internet and social media wisely. The guest speaker will speak on recognizing warning signs of predators, explain online and social media laws, share local cases, and conduct scenario activities. Teens will leave educated and informed while having developed plans to escape dangerous situations.
